Prices
Since we know everyone wants a ballpark price from the beginning, we wanted to give you a very rough estimate of some typical costs of having us take care of your tree care services. The species, size, condition, location, and accessibility to the tree in your yard are all factors taken into consideration when providing an estimate. Therefore, these prices are a very rough estimate and in no way should substitute for an on site consultation.
Note to clients: We do not accept credit cards at this time. We do accept checks or cash for payment. While we understand this is an old school way to pay for services rendered, we have to keep expenses down where we can so we can continue to provide the best prices to you all when we bid tree work. For anyone who cannot afford to pay an invoice in full at time of service, please do not hesitate to call the office and speak with Kit about setting up a payment plan so that paying us by check or cash doesn’t burden your personal life. We look forward to working with you and your trees and keeping a little bit of the pre-technology days alive.
Pruning:
Typically pruning entails:
1. Structure pruning (effort to remove structural defects for the future)
2. Select pruning (removal of specific branches),
3. Crown cleaning (dead/broken/diseased branches),
4. Crown thinning (thinning of the canopy to reduce storm breakage and increase interior light penetration), and/or
5. Crown reduction (decreasing the size of the canopy).
The price ranges for pruning below include all of these methods.
Small Tree, 4 inch to 10 inch diameter, 10-20 feet tall: $50-$200
Medium Tree, 10 inch to 24 inch diameter, 20-50 feet tall: $200-$1000
Large Tree, 24 inches and larger, 50 feet and taller: $400-$2500
Removals:
Small Tree, 4 inch to 10 inch diameter, 10-20 feet tall: $30-$400
Medium Tree, 10 inch to 24 inch diameter, 20-50 feet tall: $200-$1200
Large Tree, 24 inches and larger, 50 feet and taller: $500-$4000
For the occasional extra large tree prune or removal, it is possible to see costs exceed price ranges listed.
Stump Grinding:
This is estimated by the inch. Dependent upon the species and location of the stump, prices vary from $6-$10/inch.
Plant Health Care:
Since plant health care services are very specific to the needs of the tree, we cannot provide estimates for plant health care online. However, we would be happy to provide an estimate after an in-person consultation. We only use non-toxic chemicals and methods. This method is to ensure that your pets and children are safe in your yard after we treat your trees.
Shrubs and Other Plants:
We also prune, remove, and care for shrubs and other plants. Providing an estimate on these plants is difficult online and will only be given after an in-person consultation.
