Kit Wagner is CETC’s Qualified Supervisor through the Colorado Department of Agriculture. She has been taking care of all things Plant Heath Care (PHC) for over 15 years. Integrated Pest Management is the way in which our company utilizes all suitable techniques to take care of a tree’s health. This can include things such as fertilization to address nutritional deficiencies, irrigation and winter watering, proper pruning, chemical controls, and planting suitable species for specific locations. These are just some of the ways we address plant health care issues.
If the tree is properly watered, fed, and pruned, typically the tree will not need pesticides to manage pest issues. Most pest issues can be solved by making sure the tree is properly pruned as well as watering it year-round. If your tree does have a pest, we try to eliminate that nuisance by using products that are as bee friendly as possible. Many times, a dormant oil spray or a deep root fertilization will resolve the onset of a new pest. If your tree has a pest we cannot control to a reasonable level with these methods, we also offer pest control with other bio-insecticides and/or pesticides. We strive to solve every situation WITHOUT the use of pesticides whenever possible. Anything we can do to help a tree and save a bee, we do.
Products we offer include insecticides, fungicides, miticides, and bio-insecticides for beetle prevention. We currently employee a Qualified Supervisor and licensed, experienced technicians to manage all phases of the pest identification, management, and control process. You would be amazed at how many issues just need some water and fertilizer to fix them.
